A service center specialized in training and developing university education and qualifying teaching and administrative staff according to quality standards and academic accreditation, as well as its interest in human resources through the establishment of various training courses for employees of all ministries, state institutions, and the public and private sectors to upgrade their levels and keep pace with the development in all areas of work and training. The center seeks to create a modern training environment and believes in the university’s role in the needs of society and the labor market. In addition, the center holds qualifying courses for teaching methods and the Arabic language for faculty members who have scientific titles from the teaching staff of the University of Baghdad and other public and private universities, in addition to holders of higher degrees in ministries and other state institutions. In addition to this, the center holds job transition courses, such as administrative, legal, engineering, accounting, language courses, computer courses, and language integrity in administrative correspondence.
The establishment of the center dates to 1986 under the name of the Center for Teaching Methods, in 1993 the Center for Continuing Education was established. In 2004, the two centers were merged under the name of the Center for Development and Continuing Education. In 2018, it was renamed the Continuing Education Center.
